About the RW1 Roofs & Inclined Surfaces Awareness course.
Conducted in accordance with AS/NZS 1891.1 Safety Belts and Harnesses, AS/NZS 1891.4 Industrial fall-arrest systems and devices - Selection, use & maintenance and AS/NZS 4360 Risk Management. The two day course is designed to cover software and hardware PPE selection, maintenance & storage, operator personal inspections and periodic inspections as well as correct fitting of harnesses for work applications. We also look at roof anchor installations, work positioning / fall arrest methods and responding to a suspended worker. An awareness level seminar on Harness Hang Syndrome (CARP) is also conducted.
The RW1 course identifies the following units:
The units are delivered contextually within a framework of roof work & height safety.
Students receive a nationally recognized Statement of Attainment on successful completion of the training & assessment.

Minimum number of four students per course. The course fee covers training resources, all equipment, assessment, provision of Statements of Attainment.
Existing personal (or workplace) PPE should be used for consistency, however SAR will supply the latest in height safety gear and PPE (personal protective equipment).
